On 16 June, Maraga delivered a State of the Nation address at Ufungamano House in Nairobi, convening national moral authorities, opposition leaders, civil society, youth leaders, and professionals for a dialogue titled “State of the Nation: The Way Forward.” The address followed directly from the Ukatiba Caravan and was billed as a non-partisan platform for charting the country's direction ahead of 2027.
In his remarks, Maraga laid out a three-part national recovery agenda built on constitutionalism, restoration of human dignity, and economic renewal, and used the occasion to present his vision under the banner “Ukombozi 2027.” The forum also became a moment for opposition realignment, with Maraga using the platform to welcome talks toward a joint opposition flagbearer for the 2027 race, arguing that Kenya needs a complete reset rather than politics as usual.
The Ufungamano House address is now regarded internally as the moment the Caravan's grassroots conversations were formally translated into a national agenda, and it remains one of the most referenced speeches of the campaign to date.
